In the bustling Barona district of Milan, stands a pharmacy like no other. Meet Dr. Paolo Cattaneo, the proud owner of Nostra Signora di Montallegro. He’s going to take us through the story of how this Antismog Pharmacy prioritises the well-being of both its staff and customers by adopting innovative air purification and saniting systems.

Antismog Pharmacy Montallegro

A landmark for the community

The story begins 12 years ago, since the pharmacy has been serving the community since 2011.

With an average daily footfall of around 200 people, the pharmacy is a real landmark for the community. Depending on the time of day, the number of visitors can fluctuate, but Dr. Cattaneo and his team consistently strive to meet their customers' diverse needs.

Can you imagine what 200 people mean in a room of just a few square metres in one of the world's most polluted cities?

The Need for a Healthy Environment

And while pharmacists represent an ally, a sense of security for their patients against all their illnesses, The pharmacists themselves are caught in a relentless assault, constantly exposed to bacteria and viruses within the confined space of their pharmacy. The air inside is a breeding ground for danger, with every breath fraught with risk. To make matters worse, right outside the pharmacy's entrance, the world of polluted and contaminated air waits for them.

Recognizing the importance of creating a healthy environment, Dr. Cattaneo made a decision to enhance the quality of air within the pharmacy. With himself and his dedicated team spending at least 8 hours a day on the premises, and with the constant flow of visitors (more often than not ill), it was imperative to tackle the issue of air pollution from pathogens.

A Dual Approach to Clean Air

The solution came in the form of a dual approach – the introduction of an air purification system, the Pure Air Zone solution by U-Earth, along with the latest add-on to the Suite: U-Lamp, the ultimate antiviral UVC Light.

The goal was clear: to provide clean air and to ensure the removal of harmful pathogens while ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone present, staff and customers alike.

Partnering with U-Earth

For this important mission,Dr. Paolo Cattaneo found an invaluable ally in U-Earth. He proposed a comprehensive solution that combined the use of the Pure Air Zone device for air purification and the U-Lamp for avoiding cross contamination. These state-of-the-art technologies promised not only effective germicidal action but also safety for skin and eyes.

Breathing Fresh Mountain Air

The satisfaction that has resulted from becoming an AntiSmog Pharmacy, was instant!

Becoming a Pure Air Zone, first and foremost provides a sense of security, ensuring that the air within the pharmacy is as clean and pure as possible. Secondly, and equally important, customers have expressed their delight at experiencing the sensation of breathing mountain-fresh air while inside the pharmacy, when they enter the pharmacy, they can really “change air”- “cambiare aria”, one of U-Earth’s mottoes.

Pharmacy Clean Air

A Vision for Well-Being

Dr. Cattaneo's pharmacy embodies a vision that extends beyond merely dispensing medications. In his eyes, the ideal pharmacy should be a sanctuary that synergistically offers a range of services for the well-being of individuals. It should begin with clean air and potentially extend to improving the overall quality of life and inner well-being.

At "Nostra Signora di Montallegro," the pursuit of health is not just a business but a mission. By embracing innovative technologies and putting the well-being of customers and staff at the forefront, Dr. Cattaneo has created a unique pharmacy experience that goes far beyond the ordinary. This story is a testament to the fact that a pharmacy can truly be a place where good health and customer satisfaction flourish hand in hand.
