Come funziona SensorX®

Sensor-X monitora la qualità dell'aria. Se la lettura di un sensore diventa ROSSO, in base a diverse soglie per ogni parametro, il monitor dell'aria ti avviserà con una schermata dedicata contenente un piccolo suggerimento su come risolvere il problema. Sensor-X invia inoltre i dati sulla qualità dell'aria a una dashboard IoT nel cloud. Qui è possibile monitorare i diversi parametri della qualità dell'aria per ogni stanza/sensore. La dashboard sulla qualità dell'aria IoT è accessibile tramite desktop e anche tramite l'app dedicata.

  • How many hours do the light bulbs last?
    The light bulbs last approx. 11,000 hours.
  • How long does U-Lamp take to disinfect the environment?
    U-Lamp is effective against microbes as soon as you turn it on, the longer it stays on the more microbes will be affected. Chamber tests have shown that it inactivates more than 97% of microbes in the air in 30 minutes.
  • How do I maintain it?
    The bulbs should be changed after 11,000 hours of use or after 1 year of daily use. Bulbs should not be touched with bare hands. If the bulbs need to be changed, please contact us.
  • Is it safe?
    The U-Lamp provides filtered germicidal properties to reduce harmful virus and bacteria while people are in the room without posing any health risk when used within the current exposure limits recommended. The U-Lamp produces no harmful UV radiation or wasteful visible light and infrared light. These are the recommendations:
  • Does U-Lamp produce Ozone (O3)?
    No, U-Lamp does not produce relevant amounts of Ozone.
  • What does Sensor-X measure?
    Sensor-X measures 5 parameters: Temperature Humidity CO2 TVOCs PM2.5 It will also provide you with a score (AQI = Air Quality Index) evaluating the Air Quality in the location where it is placed. This score is calculated by considering exclusively pollutants affected by the AIRcel, that is: TVOCs and PM2.5. Other parameters (Temperature, Humidity and CO2) are monitored and evaluated on the basis of international standards, but do not impact on the AQI.
  • Where can I check the values of these parameters and the Air Quality score?
    You can either check them locally in your SensorX, or on your dashboard. You can also use the App.
  • What should I do when a certain value is too high or too low?
    We will send you a notification providing you with a suggestion on how to proceed. For example, if the CO2 value is too high, most probably we will suggest that you open the window.We will send you a notification providing you with a suggestion on how to proceed.   • How should I interpret my Air Quality score?
    If 0≤score≤20 the air quality is very good and the light on the screen will be GREEN. If 21≤score≤40 the air quality is ok, but could be better. The light on the screen will be YELLOW. If 41≤score≤100 then the air quality is quite bad. The light will be RED. The same COLOUR-CODING applies to every single parameter according to different thresholds (depending on the parameter itself).
  • What’s the difference between the “Reboot” and “Factory Reset” buttons?
    The "Reboot" button will restart the device and finalise any modification to its Wi-Fi credentials after the installation. The "Factory Reset" button will bring SensorX to its initial out-of-the-box parameters and settings. ATTENTION PLEASE: be aware that this will also delete all connection configurations!

  • How often does the sensor transmit air quality data?
    The Sensor-X monitor transmits air quality data to the IoT dashboard every 5 minutes.
  • Where should Sensor-X be placed?
    A U-Earth Air Quality Specialist will let you know how many monitors you may need for your environment and the ideal position for each one. Sensor-X should be placed on any flat surface. We have developed a version that can hang on a wall as well.
  • What should be done if one of the indicators turns red?
    Sensor-X will display a quick fix to solve the problem immediately. In any case, our Air Quality Specialists will be able to analyse the air quality data and give you more in-depth guidance.
  • How is Sensor-X connected to the dashboard?
    The sensor collects data locally and is connected to the IoT Air Quality Dashboard via Wi-Fi. You will need Bluetooth only for the setup process.
  • How do I set up Sensor-X?
    Sensor-X can be easily set up through the IoT Air Quality App, which you’ll receive access to after becoming a Pure Air Zone customer.

    An assessment of the absence of a population of viable microorganisms on the mask and / or packaging (UNI EN 14683:2019) Result: 7,3 CFU/g
  • Breathability after 200h in vivo (Pa/cm^2)
    It is aimed at determining the air permeability of the mask; performed on masks that have been used for 200 hours (UNI EN 14683:2019). Result: 43.4 Pa/cm^2

  • How does the biometric feature on the app work?
    Click on the profile section of within the app, select your nose type and then center your face in the mask image. We will tell you which size U-Mask is best for you.
  • How can I add my company on the app?
    To be featured on the map, you must become a Pure Air Zone; each Pure Air Zone is entitled to a dedicated page on the Pure Air Zone app.
  • Do the badges correspond to any prizes?
    Yes! We are preparing a series of prizes depending on the points/badges acquired. The rewards will cover both the U-Earth ecosystem and that of our partners.
  • What do you base the lowest pollution calculation on in a Pure Air Zone?
    Pollution in a Pure Air Zone is assessed by comparing concentrations of the most common measurable indoor pollutants (typically PM2.5 and TVOCs) with multiple international standards.
  • There are no Pure Air Zones in my area.
    We are adding new Pure Zones week by week. The next one could be right next to you, so keep checking the app! Meanwhile you can suggest the ones you would like. Just in the MAP section and click SUGGEST ONE.
  • How do I activate the app?
    You can download the app from the Apple or Android app stores and then proceed with registration
  • Why did you only add meditations with Theta and Gamma waves (and not Beta, Alpha and Delta)?
    We chose these two waves taking into account the effects they can provide with just 10 minutes of meditation. Theta waves can bring a deep state of relaxation and simultaneously stimulate creativity. Gamma waves, being in the higher frequency, stimulate memory and improve learning abilities.
  • I cannot click on links in articles. What can I do?
    Links in articles are clickable, they work by 'double-tapping' or by holding down on them.
  • I cannot scan my face. What should I do?
    Make sure that you hold the camera steady, that you are in a suitably lit place and that you centre the silhouette over your face. The camera should be positioned approximately 20 cm away from your face.
  • What is the Pure Air Zone Index?
    The Pure Air Zone Index (PAZ Index) quantifies the impact of one or more Pure Air Zones in decontaminating the air. It is based on several factors: the running time of the AIRcel calculated from its installation as well as the number and the power of the individual models installed. This index is constantly updated over time as the amount of air purified by the devices themselves increases. In each Pure Air Zone on the map there is an explanation of the PAZ Index with the formula to calculate it.
  • What is the ESGverse that I can see on the Profile page?
    ESGverse is a 3D web application in which people can explore the Pure Air Zone concept in an immersive and interactive way and in which U-Earth's partner companies and customers can show a 3D experience of their projects within a sustainability meta-verse.
  • How often does the device need maintenance i.e. deep cleaning?
    It is usually recommended to carry out deep cleaning maintenance of the device every 4 months; however, in environments with heavier contaminants (e.g. laboratories, dental labs, etc.), it is recommended to run the maintenance every 3 months.
  • How often should I add U-Ox?
    It is necessary to add the contents of a bottle of U-Ox once a month.
  • How often do I need to add water?
    Usually once a week. However, if the device has just been installed in an environment which has never been previously treated with our AIRcel, a weekly check is most likely not enough as the bio-oxidation process generated by the elimination of the captured contaminants can produce a slight water heating which consequently causes its consumption. Therefore, please keep a constant eye on the water level for the first 2 weeks.
  • What happens if I forget to add the U-Ox on the set day?
    The life of the biomass contained in each bottle, once added to the bioreactor water, is about 35 days, after which it loses its effectiveness. Failure to insert a new bottle would therefore make the device lose some of its purification effectiveness.
  • What type of water am I supposed to use?
    It is suggested to use only tap water. Water must be at room temperature and not too hot.
