St James’s House - 300 Years of Leadership and Innovation

U-Earth is delighted to be included in the latest release from St James’s House, 300 Years of Leadership and Innovation, which has been produced alongside The History of Parliament Trust.

300 Years of Leadership and Innovation

Commissioned to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of modern democracy in the UK, with the election of Robert Walpole to Prime Minister in 1721, 300 Years of Leadership and Innovation highlights ‘examples of achievement and progress across the social, cultural, political, technological and commercial spheres, and offers an insight into the major UK government departments.’ Alongside this, it celebrates the innovation and boundary pushing of a select number of new companies and start-ups, one of which is U-Earth.

Readers of the book can find the article on U-Earth in volume 2 of the publication, on page 80, which features an exclusive interview with Betta Maggio, founder and CEO of U-Earth, who talks about the importance of air quality and how the company is looking to improve the lives of everyone via Pure Air Zones.

"The real heroes are those who want to change the world. Our mission – and our vision – is to make their lives easier by giving them the means to do so.” - Betta Maggio

Published in the form of two fully-illustrated hardback volumes that have been written by leading academics and award-winning writers, the book was launched in The Cloisters at Westminster Abbey at a prestigious invitation-only event that U-Earth was extremely proud to attend.

It was an evening of outdoor speeches and celebration, featuring the Royal correspondent Robert Jobson; Stephen van der Merwe, Managing Director of St James’s House; and Lord Norton of Louth, Chair of Trustees, History of Parliament Trust. Alongside this were two speeches from patrons of the event, Bosch and Suse.

Being able to meet in person at an event was a delight with innovation from many other companies on show. Alongside U-Earth’s contribution were other enterprises that focused on sustainability including Ocean Bottle, each purchase funding the collection of 1000 plastic bottles in weight.

It’s no secret that the Earth is facing an uncertain future but as well as looking forwards, it can also pay dividends to look back at leaders of the past. 300 Years of Leadership and Innovation provides a fascinating insight into the successes of the past and the hopes for the future. By being highlighted in the publication, U-Earth is proud to be leading the charge in the fight for a better, more sustainable planet for all and the evening was a wonderful celebration of this intent.
